Shooting Star

I look at you and see someone else

But, when our eyes meet, it’s like seeing a shooting star

I can’t tell what you’re thinking

Even though, you pretend to read me like a book

I don’t think I will ever mean anything to you

But there’s always hope

If you ever wanted to fulfill your dreams

I could help you turn it into reality

If you had goals you wanted to achieve

I would encourage you to reach them

All you would have to do is call

I know it’s hard to get over another

I’ve been there before

Everybody makes promises they can’t keep

Mine are for real
